Lighthouse Handyman

ABOUT THE OWNER

Thank you for checking out the home for Lighthouse Handyman.

Tony is a native to Middlesex County, and started Lighthouse Handyman in 2010. Tony does all types of projects from something as simple as changing a light fixture, to full room remodels. One of his favorite things to do is to sit down with homeowners and potential customers, create an image of the desired project, and then bring that project to life.

Tony also enjoys helping customers to tackle their punch lists, or "honey do" lists. Whether it's replacing rotted trim, fixing a leaky faucet, replacing a broken light switch, or all of the above! I can help you check items off your list. Tony has found that most people like to have one person who can do it all, rather than having multiple people in their homes multiple times. Wouldn't you rather make one appointment instead of several?

As both a resident and business owner in this community, supporting other local family businesses is important to Tony. Many tools and supplies are purchased at Saybrook Hardware. If something is being built for you, chances are the materials are coming from Beard Lumber in Old Saybrook, Shagbark Lumber in East Haddam, or Ring's End in Niantic. The Paint Shop in Old Saybrook is top-notch for custom paints.

Although the shoreline communities are the primary service area, inquiries from other surrounding towns is welcome. If you live in Central and Southern Middlesex County, the Madison / Guilford area in New Haven County, or western and southern New London county, please contact us for a free quote, or arrange a free in-home estimate.

Tony has been in and around the construction business and trades for over 30 years. His interest and pursuit into the trades actually began back in the mid 1980's, working with his eldest brother who was working in the home improvement business at the time. Some of his first projects were building a 2-story, 1800 square foot barn, and a kitchen remodel. Soon after he was working on a 500-600 square foot addition along side his brother and uncle, who happened to be working in the masonry trade, and working to finish off a basement apartment. During his teens, Tony's interest grew to learning electrical repairs, working alongside another uncle who was a master electrician. Since then, Tony has continued working with reputable tradesmen, and eventually working in the retail end at lumber yards and lighting manufacturers.
